Every political party depends upon a coalition of supporters. Donald Trump's success in the GOP primaries has weakened the glue that has held the Republican coalition together. This article
describes the chasm that has developed between influential conservatives as well as the conflict within the Christian evangelical movement. This goes well beyond a conflict between the GOP "establishment" and those outside of the establishment.
