Does President Obama Fail To Understand The Economy?

This is an extensive interview by the NYT of the president soon after he was elected.  He answered a wide range of questions in this interview.  I posted this interview in response to an article in The Financial  Times which argued that we should not reelect him to office because he did not understand business or the economy.  We have not had many presidents who could display the broad grasp of our economy that he  demonstrated in this interview.  I doubt that the author of the article in The Financial Times could have done as well.  I may not agree with some of his responses, but he certainly is well informed.
