Consumers Create Jobs Not The Companies That Make The Products
This article (via Manan Shukla) is another article by a wealthy business person that explains why we should raise taxes on his income class. He turns the traditional defense against higher taxes on the rich around by arguing that the rich do not create jobs. He suggests that consumers create jobs by purchasing the products made by the wealthy. The problem with our economy is that the middle class does not have as much money to spend and less jobs are created. The greater share of income going to the rich will not be spent and jobs will be lost. He is an entrepreneur who has started many companies and invested in successful startups but they only created jobs when consumers were there to purchase their products.
