The Group Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco provides an excellent
analysis of the US economy and how he expects it to perform in the near term. One would have a hard time finding a more thorough description of the US economy. He expects the economy to grow at its average trend rate at around 2%, and he sees no signs of a spike in inflation. His explanation of the factors that drive inflation is as good as his description of the forces that contribute to economic growth.
