US Job Growth Below Expectations For Month

The US added only 115,000 jobs last month. Private industry added 130,000 jobs, but public jobs declined by 15,000. The loss of government jobs has continued to be a drain on the economy. One other number stood out in the report. The labor force participation rate of men dropped to 70%. This is the lowest participation for men since 1948.
