Why Agnosticism Is Good For Developmental Economics

Dani Rodik does a good job in this article of describing the differences of two approaches to development.  Both of the approaches have strengths and weaknesses.  The good new is that developmental economists are no longer locked in one camp or the other.  They recognize that the medicine that they prescribe must be suited for the patient.  Most development projects now include a mixture of bottoms approaches to make an immediate impact on poverty and top down approaches which improve the macro environment for development.
